Something Is Coming This Friday
There’s something coming from the Petty estate again, and the countdown is on!
A piece of art now dominates the official Tom Petty website. Every day for the past few days, new lines, faces, and sounds are being added as a countdown clock rolls toward a Friday morning release of . . . something?!
We aren’t quite sure.
Given the audio, it may be an archive of lost recordings, or session takes, or perhaps — given the mention of Cincinnati at the beginning — a live recording or film of Petty’s June 2017 concert there, held just a few months before his death.
We’ll find out Friday. In the meantime, clues will continue to reveal themselves.
Whatever it is, we’re excited!
